We’re thrilled to report that our ‘Positively Different 2014’ free community events to mark Dyslexia Awareness Week were a great success!
We’d like to express our sincere appreciation to South Staffordshire College Tamworth Campus for hosting our exhibition in the Jubilee Building. The artworks, fashion, photography and story boards attracted a lot of admiration and demonstrated soundly the fantastic skills and talents that people with dyslexia often have. We’d also like to express huge gratitude to all the organisations and individuals who took part in our ‘Positively Different Variety Show’, all of whom gave their time for free to raise awareness of dyslexia with the most amazing, creative and entertaining performances. Thanks to:
We’d also like to show our great appreciation to compere Lee Bates and to Deputy Mayor Cllr Maureen Gant for appearing as our special guest and for encouraging the variety show audience to support Dig-iT by buying cakes, refreshments and taking part in the raffle. A fantastic £170 was raised on the night, which will help Dig-iT offer creative workshops and activities to dyslexic children to enable them to develop skills, confidence and find their talent. |
